Headquartered in New York City, the holding company's subsidiaries include Harland Clarke Holdings Corp. and Mafco Worldwide Corporation. The company is into four business segments: Harland Clarke, Harland Financial Solutions, Scantron and Licorice Products. The Harland Clarke segment offers checks and related products, forms and treasury supplies, check-related delivery and fraud prevention services direct marketing services, stationery, business cards and other business and home office products. The Harland Financial Solutions segment provides lending and mortgage compliance and origination applications, risk management solutions, business intelligence solutions, Internet and mobile banking applications, branch automation solutions and core processing systems. The Scantron segment provides data management solutions, including testing and assessment solutions, patient information collection and tracking, and survey services. The Licorice Products segment, which is operated by Mafco Worldwide, produces a variety of licorice products. During December 2009, Harland Clarke Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, acquired SubscriberMail, a leading email marketing service provider, and Protocol IMS a direct marketing services provider.
