Monroc sells precast concrete division assets to holding firm

The assets of Monroc Inc.'s precast concrete division in Salt Lake City have been sold to Cheyenne Concrete Co., a holding company located in West Valley City.

Cheyenne Concrete has formed Eagle Precast Co. to hold the newly acquired assets.

Cheyenne Concrete president Bill Howes said Eagle is expected to see revenues of about $20 million this year. Eagle continues to operate from Monroc's quarters at 1670 No. Beck St. The firm employs roughly 200 people in both Salt Lake City and Boise. All management and employees have been retained, Howes said.
