FESKO FUND FUELS FIRE FOR FIRST AMENDMENT

Helen Fesko, the owner of Woodmar Travel agency in Hammond, has started Indiana University School of Journalism's largest endowment funded by an individual.

Fesko, who gave $85,000 to start the scholarship fund, said she started the endowment in memory of her late husband Jack Fesko - a Gary journalist and advertising agency president.

She said his eloquent writing style attracted her to marry him.

Jack Fesko was stationed in New Guinea in the Navy in 1942, while Helen worked as a secretary in Gary when they began a pen-pal relationship. …
