* 700 employee volunteers dedicate the Habitat homes they built in the South Valley

The crew of some 700 local, national and international Honeywell employees laid down their hammers and paintbrushes Friday.

After 12 days of voluntary sweat and toil, the enthusiastic group completed five cheery looking townhomes in the South Valley for families participating in the Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity program. Habitat helps low-income families get into affordable housing.

The figure behind the worldwide partnership with Habitat, Honeywell chairman and CEO Michael Bonsignore, flew in on Wednesday to cheer workers on and hammer a few nails himself. …
