This isn't the way Brigham Young football coach LaVell Edwards wants to go out.

Edwards, whose 29th year at BYU will be his last, has watched his team win just two of six games during a brutal first-half schedule.

The Cougars have lost two linebackers for the season and found out earlier this week that starting quarterback Bret Engemann also will be lost for the season with a separated shoulder.
