Woman Told Fence Violated Covenants

A Corrales woman should remove a fence around a nearly 1-acre lot behind her home because she built it without the subdivision's approval, a district judge ruled Thursday.

The fence is used for Paulette Kelly's horses and dogs to roam in.

The Windsong Owner's Association sued Kelly in July 1998, alleging a fence she erected around the lot she owns behind her West Meadowlark home violated the subdivision's covenants.

Thirteenth District Judge Kenneth G. Brown ruled that the fence violates the Windsong's covenants and was built without the approval of Windsong's Architectural Control Committee. …
