Torrance Man Wins Truck From Lottery.

Torrance County resident Mike Houlne has a new ride.

It's a cranberry-red 2000 Ford F-150 4X4 pickup truck for which he didn't pay a penny.

Houlne won the truck by entering nonwinning lottery scratch tickets in a drawing at the New Mexico Lottery's booth at the New Mexico State Fair.

Houlne, who was in the hospital during the televised drawing for the truck Sept. 24, said he was down on his luck but news of his win perked him up.

"This truck came at a perfect time," Houlne said Monday. "The alternator just went out on my Chevy S-10."
