Rams' Star Receiver Eyes Taking Medical Redshirt

The Colorado State football team might not be going to Dallas anymore this season.

Rams star Dallas Davis, a 5-foot, 10-inch, 175-pound wide receiver/punt returner extraordinaire, likely will miss Saturday's game against New Mexico because of hip-pointer and hamstring injuries.

Davis, who has appeared in only two games this season, might redshirt. The Rams learned last season with linebacker Rick Crowell that a player can take a medical redshirt if injuries have limited his playing time before the fourth game.

"He has a couple injuries brewing," Rams coach Sonny Lubick said Tuesday of the senior. …
