UTEP Rolls Up Points As NMSU Drops to 0-4

EL PASO There are signs of life, but they're still pretty weak.

The winless New Mexico State football team found its offense for a while but lost it again when it needed it and dropped to 0-4 with a 41-31 loss to Texas-El Paso on Saturday night.

The Aggies, who had scored only 13 points in their first four games, looked like the team that moved the ball so well last season when they scored 24 points in the second quarter.

But the Miners (3-2) scored in all four quarters in front of a crowd of 50,068 at the Sun Bowl.

UTEP scored first on a six-play, 78-yard drive with Rovann Cleveland finding the end zone on a 2-yard run. …
