Judicial Complex Bond Also Approved

Torrance County voters decided Tuesday to let two incumbents continue in their jobs and allow the county to issue $2.5 million in general-obligation bonds for a new judicial complex, according to unofficial election results.

One two-term incumbent lost, however, in the race for the 7th Judicial District Attorney post.

The East Mountains and Estancia Valley were hit hard by a winter storm, and that may have kept some voters from heading to the polls. Nevertheless, overall turnout was relatively strong, with about 58.6 percent of Torrance County's 8,577 voters casting ballots. …
