Community Storehouse Moves.

The St. Vincent de Paul community storehouse in Mountainair has changed its location for the third time since it opened in September 1999.

The food distribution center and used-clothing store was originally located in a small house on the corner of N.M. 55 and Main Street. It moved to larger quarters in the former Texaco service station when that building became available.

Now the volunteer operation, supported by local Catholic churches, has come nearly full circle by returning to N.M. 55 one block north of U.S. 60 in an even larger facility.

New storehouse board members elected in October include president Eliseo Sisneros, vice presidents Annie Griego and Rosemary Allderete, secretary Elis Salas and treasurer Rosalia Medina. …
