Albuquerque-area voters have approved $20 million in new flood-control projects.

A bond issue for the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority passed by a comfortable margin Tuesday, according to unofficial results. Voters also unseated one member of AMAFCA's five-member governing board and kept another incumbent in office.

Tim Eichenberg, who has previously served on the board, won over incumbent Clifford E. Anderson. Eichenberg will represent District 3, which stretches roughly from Montgomery to Indian School NE and from the East Mountains to Interstate 25.

Board chairman Ron Brown secured a victory over challenger Daniel Lyon. …
