Fresh Faces Win in Los Alamos.

* Voters turned out one incumbent and picked three new members for the County Council

Los Alamos voters plucked Geoffrey Rodgers, Francis Berting and Diane Albert from their five options for County Council.

Incumbent Robert Gibson, a Republican, narrowly lost re-election, trailing Albert by just 162 votes. Charmian Ogden Schaller, a Democrat, also came away unsuccessful, but with a respectable 4,479 votes.

A total 10,053 votes were cast, according to unofficial results.

Three seats were open in County Council; the top three vote-getters win the posts.

With the Cerro Grande Fire still fresh on the minds of many in the county, all candidates talked about rebuilding and fire prevention during the campaign. …
