Jordan Adams has a lot going for her as she starts what might be a memorable sophomore season

Jordan Adams not only is one of the best players in the Mountain West Conference but also one of New Mexico women's basketball coach Don Flanagan's top recruiters.

During the past recruiting season, Flanagan admits he utilized the 6-foot, 3-inch sophomore's athletic ability and personality to woo players to UNM.

It's a role Adams enjoys.

She says of a recent weekend: "(I) just (like) hanging out with recruits. I love to get to know them. I don't lie to them. I tell them the reasons I came here and how well the team gets along. I get emotionally connected, and it hurts if they don't come here."

Adds Flanagan: "I think they (the recruits) know she's sincere. Well, I don't think, I know. She's talented, and, when recruits see that talent, they want to play with somebody like that.

"She really likes the university and really likes playing here. …
