Spending Of Gorham Tops Paster.(New Mexico)

* Republican reports outspending Democrat in Senate District 10 by more than $20,000

Ramsay Gorham, the Republican incumbent in Albuquerque's state Senate District 10, outspent her Democratic opponent, Janice Paster, during the three weeks before the election.

Gorham reported spending $87,303 between Oct. 10 and Thursday, according to campaign finance reports filed Thursday.

Paster reported spending $65,760 during the same period.

Paster, a lawyer who represented the district from 1989 through 1996, is trying to win back the seat. Gorham was elected in 1996.

Gorham's campaign was fueled by heavy contributions from state Republican groups in October. …
