Ex-Worker's Suit Says Rights Violated

A former Albuquerque Public Schools assistant superintendent has sued the Albuquerque Board of Education and APS Superintendent Brad Allison, claiming her civil rights were violated and her employment contract was breached.

Judith A. Keller, 63, filed the lawsuit Oct. 24 in state District Court. The lawsuit claims that Keller was discriminated against based on her gender, age and disability. The lawsuit also claims that a contract that was entered into for the 1998-1999 school year was breached when she was demoted.

The lawsuit is the latest in a string of civil suits filed against APS and Allison over personnel changes Allison made when he was appointed superintendent in 1998. …
