True and false: Pete Sampras holds the record for men's tennis Grand Slam titles, having surpassed Roy Emerson's record of 12 last July at Wimbledon.

Wait a minute. True and false?

Right. Sampras, it's true, broke Emerson's record for Grand Slam singles titles. But Sampras could play until he's 64 the age Emerson will turn on Friday, the day he arrives in Albuquerque to appear at a tennis clinic and convention and not break the Australian's amazing record of 28 total Grand Slam victories between 1959 and '71.

So, what was Emmo's M.O.?
