For many Albuquerqueans, the annual Cystic Fibrosis Celebrity Waiter Night is a chance to get silly way silly and still benefit a worthy cause. This year was no exception. More than 550 people got extremely silly Saturday night at the Crowne Plaza Pyramid at the Cystic Fibrosis dinner and auction, including your very own Inside Source columnist. I wasn't just a mild-mannered reporter this time, no, I was a nearly ineffectual, mild-mannered celebrity waiter.

First, let me explain that the job of the 50 or so celebrity waiters at the party was to extort, bribe, wheedle or otherwise con "tips" out of the people seated at his or her table. The goal of the waiters is to raise about $500 each in tips during the course of the evening, all of which go to fight cystic fibrosis. …
