Museum Regents Postpone Selection.

After six hours of considering who the next director of the Museum of New Mexico should be, the museum system Board of Regents postponed a decision until Friday.

The search for a new director at the state-operated network of four museums, five state monuments and an archaeological office has narrowed the field of candidates to two: interim director Tom Wilson and J. Brooks Joyner, the director of the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa.

The regents closed the meeting to the press and public before hearing recommendations from a seven-member search committee led by regent C.W. "Buddy" Ritter. …
