Community Leaders From Africa Visit City To Study Services.(Metropolitan)

Pedro Romao comes from Angola, where land mines have dismembered countless children.

Eunice Damas and Florinda Paunde are from Mozambique, where they are trying to help those affected by flooding and war.

In hopes of rebuilding their war-torn communities and helping their people, these three African community leaders are in Albuquerque until Sunday to learn about community services and how they work.

On Thursday, along with interpreter Lauro DeBarros of Brazil who provided Portuguese translation, they visited Futures for Children, a nonprofit organization. …
