N.M. Drug Programs Awarded Fed Funds.

Substance-abuse prevention programs in Las Vegas, N.M., and Espanola have been awarded almost $165,000 by the U.S. Justice Department.

The funding, provided through the Drug-Free Communities Support Program, was awarded to the Northern New Mexico Health Care Alliance in Las Vegas and the Rio Arriba Family Care Network Coalition in Espanola, U.S. Sen. Pete Domenici's office reported Tuesday.

The Rio Arriba Family Care Network Coalition was awarded $100,000 to establish a multimedia, bilingual substance-abuse prevention campaign promoting community empowerment. …
