Espanola Council OKs Televising of Meetings.

Espanola City Council members may appear on your TV set sometime soon.

The council has approved the idea of televising meetings, usually held the first and third Tuesdays of each month, with assistance from US Cable, City Manager Leonard Padilla said.

The city still must research the cost of buying equipment to televise the meetings, which could run from $3,500 to $22,000 depending on how sophisticated the council wanted to get, Padilla said.

The expenditure on the equipment would still need to be approved by the council and details worked out about when the meetings would air. …
