OmniRoots is a group of actors, artists, musicians and dancers dedicated to bringing multicultural performance pieces to Albuquerque audiences. Their many talents were on display Sunday in August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "The Piano Lesson" at the refurbished KiMo Theatre. Some judicious trimming of the text would have concentrated the play's

powerful impact.

"The Piano Lesson," set in Pittsburgh in 1937, is a complex treatment of African-American history, intergenerational tensions and ghosts real and imagined.
