Torrance County sheriff's deputies will be able to spend more time patrolling thanks to a $16,307 COPS MORE 2000 grant from the U.S. Justice Department.

The Torrance County Sheriff's Department was one of six New Mexico law-enforcement agencies to get part of the $198,213 in grant money to augment administrative staff.
