Moriarty Balks At Private Data Online

The New Mexico Activities Association has changed the way schools must file student eligibility reports and that has the Moriarty school board concerned.

The reports include information such as enrollment history, date of birth and Social Security number for all participants in NMAA-sanctioned events.

Until this school year, districts filed the reports by regular mail. The NMAA is now requiring school districts to file the information online using students' Social Security numbers for identification.
