Abba president wins enterprise award.

Several New Mexico minority-owned businesses will receive awards one the tops in the country this month during Minority Enterprise Development Week.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Small Business Administration, the 18th annual MED Week conference will be held Sunday through Wednesday in Arlington, Va.

Ching-Ching Ganley, president of Abba Technologies Inc. of Albuquerque, has been named National Minority Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

Her company, which upgrades supercomputers at national laboratories, has sales of more than $22 million a year.

Ganley was on the list of top 25 women-owned companies compiled by New Mexico WOMAN magazine for 1997, 1998 and 1999. …
