25 wireless phones donated to 5 schools.

ALLTEL Communications, in partnership with Nokia Inc., has donated 25 wireless telephones and up to 120,000 minutes of air time to five local schools.

The donation is part of the ClassLink program, a nationwide campaign launched by the Wireless Foundation to increase the quality of education through wireless technology.

Schools receiving phones are Bernalillo High School, Moriarty High School, School on Wheels, Washington Middle School and Zia Elementary School.

ALLTEL, Nokia and Rep. Heather Wilson, R-N.M., presented the phones to school officials during a recent press conference at Washington Middle School.
