* Musica Antigua de Albuquerque will give three performances

"Spanish Courts Abroad," a concert of 15th-, 16th- and 17th-century Spanish music, will feature the voices and period instruments of Musica Antigua de Albuquerque in three performances.

The group will perform music from the Montecassino Manuscript, compiled at the Neapolitan court during the period when Naples was ruled by Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Among the works on the program will be the Neapolitan tune "Ayo visto lo mappamundo" ("I have seen the map of the world"), popular during the age of exploration. It also will include music from the Spanish New World, with works by Pedro Bermudez, Hernando Franco, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Francisco Gerrero, Tomas de Torrejon y Velasco and others. …
