Good play, short run. "La Victima," which ran Friday and Saturday at the South Broadway Cultural Center, was agit-prop theater perhaps, but good, serious, complex agit-prop theater

Agitation and propaganda are the two full words that combine to make agit-prop. The idea is to send the audience out to do something that needs to be done, or change something that needs to be changed. "Waiting for Lefty" is a classic example.

"La Victima" is the story of a family that leaves Mexico during the revolution in 1915 for a better life in Los Angeles. …
