Stand-Up Guy Has Local Ties, Gets Lottery Laughs.(New Mexico & The West)

SANTA FE Scotty Goff really did not mind interviewing the cow.

In one brief spot for the New Mexico Lottery, the 37-year-old takes a break from talking on camera with people who love the lottery to calmly question a New Mexico bovine.

It's one of the moments people think of when they see "the lottery guy" out shopping at a mall or filling up his car with gasoline on one of his visits back to his hometown of Albuquerque, he said.

"It's funny what people remember," Goff said.

Goff, a resident of Tucson, is a former Rio Grande High School teacher, acting assistant principal and activities director who turned to comedy in 1996. …
