The glamorous Gene doll is famous and fabulous, but fictional. In her lavish costumes from the 1940s and '50s, she looks just like a classic movie star of old.

But she's not based on any actual star.

Perhaps that's what makes Gene so popular with collectors she can be anyone she wants. Order her hair in platinum, auburn or brunette and imagine her as Carole Lombard, Rita Hayworth or Jennifer Jones.

New York artist/illustrator Mel Odom created the Gene doll five years ago and has seen her become a favorite of movie buffs, fashion fans and doll collectors everywhere.
