UCLA's Danoff Comes Back From Knee Injury.(Sports)

One year ago, Troy Danoff pondered his football future.Sure, the former La Cueva star was confident he could resume his career at UCLA. He just didn't know to what extent.

With two games remaining in his 1999 sophomore season, Danoff suffered a major knee injury and was out for the year. He underwent anterior cruciate ligament surgery on his left knee and spent the next six months rehabilitating.

The Bruins, coming off a disappointing 4-7 season, did some rehabilitating of their own.

Both recuperated, and today Danoff and the Bruins (6-5) are playing in the Sun Bowl in El Paso against Wisconsin.

"I remember sitting and watching the bowl games last year, wondering if I'd ever be able to play in one again," Danoff said earlier this week while home for a two-day holiday break. …
