Tijeras Officials Consider D.C. Trip.

Tijeras elected officials might go to Washington, D.C., in February or March to ask the New Mexico congressional delegation for money to complete the village water system.

At the Village Council's regular meeting Dec. 18, consulting firm Molzen-Corbin and Associates told councilors it has helped other municipalities secure money for water and sewer projects by asking the New Mexico delegation.

The village has been trying to provide water to all of its residents since 1992. So far, it has completed Phases I and II of the village water system. Phase III, the final phase, is scheduled to begin in January. …
