Resignation Puts Member of Capital Family in Better Position To Help.(Sports)

With Christmas a day removed, it's time to take stock in the gift Capital High School received this holiday season.

Given athletic director Richard Chirichillo's resignation to take an administrative role with the city, it's safe to say Capital was one of the biggest beneficiaries during this time of year in the City Different.

That's not to say no one shed a tear at his departure. In fact, many at the school speak well of him. The bottom line is that Chirichillo is moving up in a way that can only benefit the school that has employed him since 1998.

Having a member of the Capital family take an official position with the city can only have positive repercussions on the school that many consider the forgotten stepchild in the world of high school athletics in Santa Fe. …
