Citibank gives ACCION $50,000.

Citibank in Albuqeurque has announced a $50,000 challenge grant to ACCION New Mexico.

Edward J. Consroe, site president for local Citibank operations and a board member of ACCION, said the money has been awarded to the group in recognition of ACCION's outstanding work in the New Mexico and for their annual campaign.

"Citibank has a long-standing commitment to invest in our communities where we do business," said Consroe.

"ACCION's support of microenterprises provides critical assistance to people who are self-employed," he said. "By providing this grant to ACCION, Citibank is able to help established businesses that will become the backbone of our local neighborhoods. …
