Drug Ring Suspect Says She's Innocent.(Metropolitan)


One of the suspects accused of taking part in a large-scale Albuquerque drug ring said Thursday she's innocent.

Police said Angelina Villa, 22, and three others were arrested last week on various drug charges. Investigators said the four were part of "The Family" a group of men and women, several of them aspiring rap musicians, suspected of being a major city supplier of cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy.

Police said arrest warrants have already been issued for five additional people, and they plan to seek felony indictments for five others.

The suspected ringleader, Albuquerque music studio owner Darrold "King Daddy D" Morris, 34, remained behind bars Thursday in lieu of $100,000 jail bond. …
