Lomas Exit To Close on I-25.(Metro & New Mexico)

The southbound Lomas exit on Interstate 25 will close permanently Jan. 3 as crews begin utility work needed before construction of frontage roads.

The Lomas exit always was planned for permanent closure as part of the Big I project. Eventual access to Lomas will come from freeway frontage roads, said Steve Harris, a district engineer with the New Mexico State Highway and Transportation Department.

When the southbound Lomas exit is closed, an improved Martin Luther King Jr. exit will be in place. Access to Lomas will come through Martin Luther King Jr.: Southbound drivers will use that exit, take a left, then take another left on a northbound frontage road back to Lomas. …
