The boundaries of free expression are sometimes vague.

Where are those boundaries, for example, when a high school student forms a paramilitary group and helps train other members in hand-to-hand combat and use of weapons? Especially when that knowledge may be used for a specific purpose.

A real federal court in Ohio heard that case. Now mock trial teams from around the country are arguing it anew as a way to learn about the justice system.

Fourteen members of the Moriarty High School mock trial team eventually will argue in opposition or support of the defendant's rights during regional and state competitions. …
