Talk about the ultimate field trip.

Two teams of Las Cruces high school students next spring will get as close as you can to space flight without being an astronaut, courtesy of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration famed "vomit comet" experimental aircraft.

NASA has chosen teams from Las Cruces High School and Mayfield High School, along with a group of students from the University of New Mexico, for spring flights aboard the aircraft, which gives researchers a simulated zero-gravity experience.

Each of the three teams will take experimental payloads aloft, to test the effects of zero gravity. …
