Chaplain Wants Service Inside Police Station.

Santa Fe's police union chaplain is pushing for a communion service inside the station room for officers who work Christmas Eve, but police brass say no.

Jose Villegas, a longtime community activist who became chaplain for the local police union a year ago, said dozens of Catholic officers who must work on the holiday have approached him about holding a communion service at the station briefing room. Villegas, in asking Chief John Denko for two services in the coming weeks, noted many officers don't have the chance to get to church while on duty.
