LAS CRUCES The University of New Mexico seniors are looking for a Great Eight at New Mexico State tonight.

The Lobos senior women have not lost a game against the Aggies in their four-year careers, a span of seven games dating to an 81-50 victory on Nov. 26, 1997. Overall, the Lobos are on a nine-game winning streak that started in 1996, a year after New Mexico State claimed two overtime victories.

Lobos senior Miranda Sanchez, who was recruited by the Aggies out of Sandia High School and has had some big games against them, says, "It's very important, obviously. We think we are the better team, and we don't want to make some mistake and ruin that. We have to play hard."

Sanchez's biggest game against NMSU came last season in the Pan-Am Center when she was 7 of 9 from the field, hitting all five of her 3-pointers, for 21 points in a physical, 59-46 win. …
