Businesses, LANL Will Collaborate

A group of Los Alamos National Laboratory employees working on high-performance superconducting tape that developers say could revolutionize delivery of electrical power will be among the first tenants of a nonprofit research park being built near the lab's administration building.

The first of five buildings that eventually will make up Los Alamos Research Park, giving private industries easy access to the national laboratory's brain and supercomputing power, is expected to be ready for occupancy next month.

The opening couldn't be happening at a better time for Dean Peterson, who directs LANL's Superconductivity Technology Center. …
