Chamber drafts a 2001 legislative wish list.

Education, followed by health-care reform, making New Mexico more economically friendly and water issues top the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce's 2001 Legislative Package, said Vaden Bales, chairman of the chamber's government committee.

The document just released outlines the chamber's positions on key issues and is aimed at New Mexico's legislators, who will convene in January.

Missing in the chamber's 2001 package is the education reform portion a continuing focus for the chamber which will be released separately in the first week in January, said Wendy Forbes, director of public affairs.

The chamber represents about 3,100 business members. …
