Judge Orders City Heist Suspect Held.

A woman arrested on charges of robbing two Albuquerque banks and trying to rob a third was ordered held Friday pending further court proceedings.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Don J. Svet ruled that Fern Lee Hodgson could be a danger to the community and a flight risk.

FBI special agent Phil Hines testified Friday that Hodgson confessed to robbing at gunpoint the Bank of Albuquerque at 2274 Wyoming NE and the First Security Bank at 5901 Menaul NE. She also acknowledged trying to hold up the First Security Bank at 8333 Montgomery NE, Hines said.

The FBI had described the suspect as having a large derriere and a bad hair-dye job.
