PNM Repairing Darkened Street Lights at Tramway and Interstate 40.(Metro & New Mexico)

IN THE DARK AT I-40 AND TRAMWAY: Jayne Urbans says while it looks like the construction is done on Interstate 40 around Tramway, the street lights aren't working. In two words, "It's dangerous."

PNM is on top of it, Jayne. Mark Martinez, Public Service Company of New Mexico's field supervisor in system reliability, says one light on the ramp went out when wire was cut during water line work. Crews are pulling new wire in, and Martinez says that light should be fixed in the next few days.

Two others that shine on eastbound I-40 on the bridge that crosses over the ramps at Central and Four Hills were hit by something big a semi, an earthmover, something and Martinez says the poles were bent so badly that crews removed the light "heads" so they wouldn't fall on passing cars. …
