Muth Pours In 39 as Eldorado Hammers Highland.(Sports)

Behind the torrid shooting of Greg Muth, the Eldorado Eagles took apart the Highland Hornets 86-58 in boys high school basketball Friday night at Eldorado.

The Eagles avenged their only loss of the season while handing Highland its second defeat.

Eldorado improves to 7-1 with a game at Cibola tonight before starting its holiday break.

Highland ended the 2000 segment of its schedule at 5-2, starting its holiday break on a sour note.

Muth drained 9 of 10 field-goal attempts and 9 of 11 free throws to finish with a game-high 32 points.

Muth also made five 3-pointers, bringing his total for Eldorado's last three games to 16.

Jason Cox handled the potent HHS inside game with six blocks and 11 rebounds to go with 19 points. Jarris Krapcha added 10 points for the Eagles.

Cox's biggest achievement might have been helping limit the Hornets' Mark Walters to only 10 points.

Leon Howard led Highland with 13 points, followed by Walters and Tyrone Bullocks with nine.

"Walters scored the final nine points against us in the APS semifinal," said Eldorado coach Roy Sanchez. …
