Company throws a fine gala.(Personalities)

From the West Side to the East Mountains, Albuquerque was a partying little town last weekend.

Inside Source took in a number of fetes, but an upbeat company party and a gala private party made the biggest impression.

First, let's just say there are company parties and there are company parties. On Saturday, Albuquerque's Jaynes Corp. threw one of the really good types of company parties. The employee-owned company celebrated the season with a party for 270 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown, complete with a holiday buffet, dancing and an awards ceremony. The high point of the awards ceremony was the naming of the employee of the year, Vincent Romero, a general superintendent for the commercial construction company.

Romero was elected by fellow employees, and to make sure that his election didn't go the way of the presidential one, a certified public accountant, Mike Mimovich of Atkinson & Co. …
