Trustees Limit Height Of Cell Phone Towers.

An ordinance Los Ranchos trustees approved Wednesday will limit telecommunications towers to 60 feet in height and prohibit them on residential lots.

The trustees board also appointed four members to the newly created planning and zoning commission and decided to allow amendments suggested by a citizens advisory committee to be incorporated into a proposed draft zoning ordinance.

Trustees unanimously approved the ordinance regulating the location and construction of telecommunications towers in the village, Mayor John Hooker said Thursday.

The cell tower ordinance requires wireless telecommunications towers to be built only on commercially zoned property or municipally owned property. …
