Valencia Literacy Council Gets $3,000.

NEWS FROM THE SOUTH
The Library of Congress' Center for the Book/Viburnum Family Literacy Projects Grants has awarded the Valencia County Literacy Council a $3,000 family literacy grant for the 2000-2001 year.
The family literacy project is a result of a partnership among the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus' Adult Basic Education Department, the Adelino Head Start and the literacy council.
Adult basic education hires instructors to teach adults in either English-as-a-second-language or GED classes. …
