A group of journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, part of the former Yugoslavia, say the region's ethnic tensions are easing, and part of their job is to help the transition to peace after years of war.

"We are trying to help people to heal their wounds from the war," Fadil Mandal, a journalist at a publication that translates to "Daily Voice," said through a translator Tuesday. "We are trying to promote tolerance and dialogue."

The group of Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian journalists were at Los Ranchos Village Hall for a panel discussion about how the media functions in America. …
